My client is seeking a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Auditor to join their team. In this role, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards by conducting on-site and remote audits. You will play a key part in risk identification, regulation adherence, and driving continuous improvement within their operations.
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, primarily based in the Greater Reading/Bristol area, with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel to sites across the South East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform audits on health, safety, environment, and quality processes at project sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement and monitor corrective measures.
- Support the development of SHEQ management systems and promote best practices.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, Environmental Compliance, and Quality Auditing Standards.
- Proven expertise in Risk Assessment and Management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting.
- Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience conducting audits in construction or refurbishment projects.
- Familiarity with safety protocols for fire-resistant and energy-efficient building systems.
Certifications:
Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Quality Management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Auditor certifications).
Education:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
